About Contactable
Private first contact, without handing over your real details.
Contactable lets you create a temporary contact link or QR code so someone can message you without seeing your phone number, email address, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, or other permanent contact details.
Why it exists
Sometimes you need to be reachable, but giving out your real number feels too permanent. That could be dating, selling an item, arranging a collection, placing a notice, sharing a lost property label, or handling a one-off enquiry.
Contactable gives you a short-lived middle step. Share the public token first, read the first message, then decide whether the conversation should continue.
How it works
You create a temporary token with an optional intent, expiry time, and optional shared passphrase. The other person opens the public link or enters the three-word token, then sends a message through Contactable.
The owner keeps a private manage link. From there, you can accept the request, reply, or destroy the chat when it has served its purpose.
What it is useful for
It is built for private messaging before trust is established: dating safety, marketplace sales, meetups, freelance enquiries, event badges, short jobs, community posts, collections, and temporary coordination.
Privacy by design
There are no accounts required for the core flow. Tokens expire, messages can be destroyed, and the service is designed to store only what is needed to keep an active temporary thread working.
